Q & A

Q. Who would you recommend this class to?

The stories which I am about to share are not meant to be used as a textbook nor as a direction. I just hope it helps those who aspire to become actors and actresses, or it helps at least one person out of 100,000 people. I want to give tips from my life to other actors or those who love actors and want to understand their job more.

Q. What is special about this class?

How to live like a star and an actor. The secret of mental management to overcome failures and frustrations. You can learn about the skills of each genre of acting approach, the delivery of lines, and the communication method of the filming site. Also, it is a useful lecture where you can learn how to build characters through case studies with films such as <Masquerade>, <Inside Men>, <Master>.

Q. How do you stay focused when you are having a tough time?

When you’re feeling extremely fatigued, when you feel like giving up on everything, just take a step away and try to see how it goes from a distance. Today is just a page of overcoming a hardship among thousands of pages of my life. Of course, things will still be hard. But still, I guess this way, overcoming those rough pages would become easier. When it’s too hard to cope with, think that you’re building a good weapon for acting for someday. Well, I’m done with making my weapons.

Q. Finally, what would you say to aspiring actors out there?

I still don’t know how to be a good actor. But as long as you remember the happiness of being in the theater as an audience and keep the pounding heart of a child looking at the actors on the screen, I believe you will be able to live as a mature adult through cinematic experience and character empathy and as an actor who will never grow up. Thank you for listening.
